also, how do women's clothes sizes relate to inches?

for example, size 10=30 inches or losing 10 pounds=1 inch (these are arbitrary numbers to show what kind of answer i'm looking for and i assume that the weight to inches ratio will probably not be absolute because there are so many individual variables.)

To tell you frankly, each person is different and individuals store fat in different areas, the same way people wil lose fat from different areas first.

You should know your body more than anyone. If u've ever lost weight where do you shed the pounds off first? I'm pear-shaped, and I store fat on my hips, but I lose fat from my top half first(I have a small waist and thinner arms than my hips). In this case, i need to lose all lot of body mass to have any effect on my hips. You should figure out how your body mass reacts to dieting..

U could go to this website to find a comparison tables of women clothing sizes in inches .

this other website to convert the inches into other metric units eg centimetres:

Unfortunately no there isn't. There is fat all over the body and it is impossible to chose where it comes off of. I.e. you can't do 100 crunches a night and assume your going to burn all the fat off of your belly. Your body chooses where it wants to take the fat from. You could lose 20 pounds and it winds up all coming off of your back and thighs and youd still have the same waist size. The best bet is to just make small steps substituting in healthy snacks and staying active and that waistline will go down. It wont be over night but its the only sure way to knock off those pesky unwanted pounds. Good luck!

Usually, losing between 5lb-8lb will result in an inch of fat loss.
