DO NOT attempt to c-clamp it back in!!!! As others have already posted, the piston TURNS back in. They have to be turned CLOCKWISE, while compressing the piston at the same time. As others have already posted, you can purchase the proper tool to do this at any auto parts store.

If the car has rear disc brakes, which it most likely does, the piston, in all probability, needs to be screwed back into the caliper. Should you not do this, and attempt to force it back with spreader, OR 'c' clamp, you in all probability will cause severe damage to the piston/caliper, and will have to replace the complete unit. This can be VERY expensive, so follow the instructions in repair manual carefully, you DO have a repair manual, don't you?

those rear calipers you have screw twist them to bring the caliper piston in in order to go over the pads. you can use a big pry bar screwdriver or if you have the special tool with the slotted nipples on all four sided box and use a hand rachet.

They make a tool called a disc brake spreader. See if you can find one. Make sure the bleeder valve is open when you try and push the piston back to keep crap out of the fluid.
