How can I get psyched about going to work. I always feel fine when I am there, but before work, I stress about going. I'm sure a lot of people feel this. It's kind of a dumb question, but how do you cope with it.

This is not a dumb question; many people have these feelings and it is partly from feeling trapped in a place where one has to be for whatever the reason.
I'm sure you will get many suggestions about what to do. I don't have the answer because I don't know your situation. However, while you're thinking about your answers, I have a true story that I'd like to leave with you which has often inspired me.
I once met the aquaintance of a woman who, for many reasons, worked for years as a guard at a women's prison. She did this out of necessity and not by choice, prison and criminals not being the best places to be in or with, needless to say. Whether for the benefits, steady work, lack of qualifications, she stayed with the job. However, every weekend she would scan the want ads, pick out the jobs she liked, and go to interviews once a month. She said that she usually got the jobs (I think it helped that she didn't look desperate) and always ended up turning them down. Why? Because she needed the prison job and there was no way she could quit. However, when she returned to work the next day she carried with her a secret that invigorated her: that there were people out there who valued her, and that she always had a way out of her self-made prison. She said that there was nothing like knowing you had a job when you had to go to a job you hated! With that in mind, she was able to continue and survive emotionally.
I think you might keep in mind also, this being America, there is always some kind of work out there. Exploring other options can only help you.

What you are feeling is totally normal. Most people would suggest adjusting ones attitude towards their job. In other words, think positively and things will be OK. To be candid, this does not always work. Maybe try to identify what it is that stresses you out. Is the commute, is it the conference call that you are supposed to be on later that morning, is it your boss, your co-workers, the work load, the pay....etc? Once you identify what stresses you, then maybe you can work on just item at a time. Try to come up with a game plan as to how you can work around these issues. If the job stresses you out to no end, maybe consider a career move or job change. I feel for you and I hope that things work out. There is nothing worse that dreading going to work. Blech. I did that for TOO many years. But we all need money. We just have to work in the parameters that we are given. Best of luck!! :)

I have the same problem. Once I am at work I really don't mind it. But before, I dread the thought of going.

I mainly just remind myself that I get to see my coworkers (we are pretty good friends) so it isn't bad. Plus, my main motivation is the money. I get paid if I go!
I usually just dread going cuase I feel tired and just want to rest and be lazy. Once I get there though and get into what I am doing, things aren't bad, so I just try to remind myself this.

Hope this helps!

Try to think of the things that you accomplished the previous day and what you'd like to accomplish. If you can't remember your accomplishments, write them down each day. Save em to use during your next review period or give them to the boss daily. This will work well for worker / boss communications and may get you a promotion or raise. Take care.

I know how you feel, but I don't know how to stop this. I have had this problem in the past too. I don't know what causes it exactly. In my case, I believe it was stress out of work that caused that problem.

My mother's advice was to get up, jump in the shower and get ready w/o thinking about work at all. I guess that worked for her.

You must be comfortable with your job. It's got be something that you enjoy. It sounds as though you're not happy with something about your work. On the other hand, make sure you are well rested and get plenty of sleep.

If there is a lot of driving I can understand, maybe a little tooooo much coffee, have a full breakfast and a time table. That might help.
