I'm just wondering, because I get acne on my face all the time. I've used everything out there, and it just always comes back. It's not a huge problem like all over my face, but they're individual pimples that stand out, and when one of them finally goes away, another one appears somewhre else on my face. I wash my face in the morning and at night, use those pads to scrub my face every morning and night, and even take homeopathic acne medication and use topical cream. It all just comes back though.
I think it pretty much ruins my chances to get a girl. I'm 19 and my body started changing later than most other guys growing up, so I know it's just hormones still that are causing it. So, I guess I just have to deal with the fact that this recurring acne marks me as ugly and as a result, I won't ever get a girl. Unless there's someone who can look beyond it...

Screw the acne, Man. We all get it. Just be confident. Saying things like what you said in that second-to-last sentence is what will keep you from getting a girl. Not the acne.

My daughter is 17 and she also has this problem. Has been fighting with it for about 3 years. Has tried everything there is to try. She has learned to use nothing but soap and water, because most of the products on the market like those pads do nothing but dry your skin out causing more acne to appear. But besides that, you need to stop thinking about it and get some confidence in yourself. Start liking yourself for who you are instead of what someone may think about a few pimples. If you don't make a big deal about it, others wont either.
Self confidence will outshine the acne

You are doing too much and that's why your pimples won't go away. You're scrubbing and wiping and putting cream on and all that will ever do is make those zits worse because you're damaging your skin.
You need to see a good dermatologist, who will prescribe you acne cream (usually Differin, which is not cheap, but it's very good) and antibiotics.
My son used to have horrible acne, and the antibiotics and Differin cleaned it up in less than a year.
If that doesn't work, the dermatologist has other treatments, such as ultraviolet light, etc, that will.
But quit abusing your skin and scrubbing it and all that. It's just too much. Trust me.
And then change that attitude. Girls can look past acne but they don't like someone who feels sorry for himself.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

I know several guys with acne and acne scars and they are married soooo,
Actually guys are more shallow about looks than women .
Although everyone wants to spend time with a looker, girls are more person oriented and personality will win over. One of my stock boys had really bad acne and he had the cutest girlfriend in town.
Guys all chase the hotties and the hootchies and get mean calling other girls dogs but that is mostly male behavior . . . many guys are mentally shallow and devoid of ethics. Most girls have a soul , only a few are the sorority type hoochie . . .
IF you had good character and personality, you should have a girlfriend already . . .
Maybe it is not the acne but the attitude ?

everyone gets pimples, everyone..if not now, then at some point in your life..you just don't realize it isn't something to be embarrassed about till much older...it's not a big deal, I'm sure you've got a lot of great things going on about you that would attract someone. I'm sure a lot of girls wouldn't even care.
Always remember no one is perfect, and no one is better than anyone else, except for in your own eyes.

Firstly, if you dun love yourself who is going to love you??
You can try seeking a doctor's help perhaps.
Some home advice may be you can drink lots of water but not too much at a go. Just drink a lot slowly. Eat more fruits and vegetables just like what your parents told you to do when you were young :)

have you tried talking to a dermatologist? i know guys that had severe acne (not that you do) who went to a dermatologist and got some stuff to clear it up, used it for a few months, and now have no problem whatsoever.
good luck, its a hard battle.
oh and a good girl will look past a blemish or two

I think that you shouldn't concentrate so much on how you look and how your skin is behaving and concentrate more on your studies. If your a great student, well-educated and could support a girl, then she could look past it much easier.
