I was dating this man for 3 months & things were great. We spent everyday together & grew so close. Even though we were together for such a short period of time, he consistently told me that he loved me & wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He even told me he planned to propose this year. He not only told me he loved me but showed me he loved me constantly. The day we broke up he spoke of how much he couldn't wait to meet my family as he planned to do the next week (his idea) & how excited he was to be spending the next week together on vacation with me. Within 2 hours he completely got mad with me over something trivial & told me his feelings changed about me & he thought he was in love with me but wasn't. We had a huge fight & broke up & he wouldn't even talk to me for weeks. I attempted to call him the day after & he told me never to call him again. Now he says he considers me a friend. How do you go from being someone's "soulmate" to a friend in a blink of an eye?

It seems to me that he has suddenly got cold feet and wants out for whatever reason.
From what you have described, you seem a nice person and his irrational behaviour is just an excuse to cool things down.
If you still care for him, then give him a little time as a friend to get his confidence back and realise just what you meant to him.
However, do not give him to long otherwise he will be just using you and you deserve better than that. Good luck.

Im kind of going through the same thing. Some people have a problem with commiting to someone else. With my experience, these people tell their partner that they are in love with them and want to spend the rest of their life with them. They say this to try to convince themselves that they do. He may very well love you!, he just needs to figure out if he wants to be with you or not

He obviously did and does not love you. Some times guys are not very truthful and if he was angry over something trivial and held a grudge than he has anger issues or was trying to find a way out.

It takes a lot longer than a few months to really fall in love. If it was real love then it would have been possible to work through this. Put this one down to experience

I can understand how confused and betrayed you must feel.
On the other hand I could do the same as him. Best to move on.

A great quote I once heard - "Women can fake an orgasm, but men can fake a whole relationship."

he sounds messed up.if things go wrong then those kind of changes can happen but it sounds as if he has drastic mood swings, and however much you may love him,the mood swings will make life hell for you.You don't want to be in a relationship with him if he constantly changes his opinion of you

This just goes to show you how much b.s. he was shoveling. He sounds very immature to me and I think he has anger issues. You are VERY lucky to be rid of him ... if indeed you are. My guess is he'll be back.
