my husband is getting ready to deploy. They say that every person reserve or active will go overseas at least once before this thing is over. Don't think of it the way you are though. We are not over there to shoot every Iraqi we see, that attitude is what makes a bad soldier. I support your decision and wish you the best of luck!

Much better than average. Given that tours of duties for both the regular army and reserves have been lengthened, and that many units are serving their 3rd tour there, I say you can pretty much guarantee it. Especially if you are going to be an infantry soldier.

They are very high. George Bush just keeps asking for more and more troops. Besides, you never know what that ape will think of next. Wait untill the war is over, or at least untill Mr. Shrub is gone.
Hey, you can always shoot some Arabs here. There will of course be consequences, for that is murder - a rather purposeless one (not that it will matter to the court).
Are you really going to risk your own life just so you can shoot a couple of people? If you want to shoot someone I suggest you do us all a favor and start with president Dubya.

You need to go be a merc, then. The life of a dedicated and disciplined professional soldier is not for a murderer.

If you want to go then join infantry. You will almost definitely go if you are with an infantry unit.
