In many families, pets play an essential role. They amuse the kids, they don't talk, they have empathy for human owners, they teach responsibility, they offer comfort. Sooo...

If a pet is a de facto family member, considered by parents and kids to be a part of the family, what happens to these 'other' family members after death. In view of rebirth/karmic law/resurrection, can one hope to be reunited with their pets?

I believe that pets also have a spirit and that they will be "resurrected".. I think a lot of what we consider normal here will still be in existance in the after-life, like we will have homes, pets, stuff like that.
I read something once that said during the millenium and in the Kingdoms there will be all sorts of animals - especially ones we have never even seen before...

IMO, as the movie says, All Dogs Go to Heaven. I think our pets will also be in heaven. I don't know if any General Authority has addressed the situation.

I heard someone, an pastor of another belief, said that your pet may enter heaven. BUT No! It is biblically false.

Yes, definitely. All of God's creatures will be resurrected. This includes animals. So, to answer your question, yes, we will get to see our pets again!
