Ok ok,it didnt just "strike" me.Me,i've been close to terrorist attacks as well. All i need is public opinion for an essay.
BUT the first guy's answer puts me to another dilemma, why is the American population against Muslims?Remember,a huge percentage of them are against terrorism.Keep that in mind.

Webster's Dictionary definition of terrorism is this:
"the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion."
People cannot be allowed to use terror as a way of getting what they want. There are other ways to achieve these things, like diplomacy and passive resistance.
In addition, when dealing with terrorism, people's lives are put in danger, and more often than not, people are killed.
Terrorism is a danger to the U.S. because it threatens Americans lives and the structure of the nation. If attacks like 9/11 happened every month, we, as in the people and the government, simply wouldn't be able to cope with the devastation and tragedy.
If you need a reason to stop terrorism, that's it right there.

I can't believe someone in this day would wonder why terrorism should be stopped. Terrorism: wounds, maims and kills innocent people, causes upheaval in the economy, keeps people on edge and stressed, causes paranoia(you never know who is the terrorist and who is the nice guy). YOU might be the next one to be killed by a fanatical terrorist...ask the Irish, Malaysians, Pakistanis, Indians (just for starters) about terrorism.

Terrorism is not an enemy. Terrorism is a tactic of conflict.
The worst terrorist of the last hundred years was Yitzhak Shamir. He even bragged about how cool it was. But oh, you mustn't consider Shamir a terrorist, oh no no no, because he became prime minister of Israel, so he can do no wrong. Sure.

If we could put an invisible shield around our own country, to make sure that we could not be attacked by air, sea, or land--then we could stop worrying about terrorism. Not really...who is to say that a million terrorists are not already in our country?

Well because it's wrong to do that because people die on the way and if you have a good heart you would hate terrorism.

Why don't you ask the relatives of the 3,000 people who died on 9/11?
