A friend of mine on an international flight said that the flight attendants put on these white caps or hats. What are these? I wanted to buy one for my friend as a joke, but I have no idea what its called. Please help. Thanks!

I am a flight atttendant. Our hats are optional but we only wear them in the terminals and during the boarding process. Maybe international airlines wear them to keep their hair out of the way when serving food and drinks. Never heard of them being used for emergencies. you can buy all kinds of flight attendant uniform pieces on ebay even vintage ones from airlines that are no longer in service. just put "stewardess" or "flight attendant" in the subject line for ebay.

Yes, absolutely. But also, if they bring you the wrong drink or otherwise fail to look after you properly, you can report them to the Chief Steward. And then, if he thinks the complaint's justified, he'll give you a paddle and you can spank the offending stewardess on her bare bottom. You can keep the paddle as a souvenir, too!

TSXGUY77, dont beleive every thing every one tells you..
Why would someone put on a hat to announce trouble? still, perhaps, my red hat is for danger, my green hat is for landing on grass, and blue hat for landing in the sea.......really.
