Okay, so I've never really dated anyone, I'm 16. I've been asked several times, but by guys that I really didn't like. I for one am a Christian, and some guys just didn't seem right. Am I too picky? Should I let my guard down some when it comes to certain things? Will I ever date anyone? Am I too judgmental?

I got the same problem. Im 16 also and havent dated anyone serously But i have been asked out 3 times in the past 2 years and i said no both times.
I see all my friends dating wildebeests(yes thats the way its spelled) just to say they have girlfriends. I believe That showing I can keep my standards high shows I am a stronger more independent person so im not going to change.I pefer quality girls over quanity
I dont date anything lower than like 8/10 or 9/10

There is nothing wrong with being picky. As long as you are being picky about the right things you are looking for. You want to make sure a guy isn't just interested in just a physical way and that he is honest with you. As far as looks, you can be a bit too picky when it comes to looks. Don't under estimate how great a guy can be once you get to know him personally. The looks of a person can be very deceiving. The pretty boy type can be very shallow and into himself while the average Joe can be a blast to hang around with. Keep being picky, just know what to be picky about.

you can never have to high of expectations for someone that you want to fall in love with. On the other hand you are 16 and you should start dating as friends the right guy will come along. Be careful and safe and just because you go to a movie or dinner doesnt mean you owe anyone anything and doesnt mean that your dating Good luck

I'm almost 16 and I have never dated anyone either. I also have very high standards and have started to wonder if I will ever date anyone. I think that we need to stand up for what we believe in though and what we trully want in a guy. Who knows, maybe we won't go through the heartbreak that other girls go through since we're more cautious? (We can hope (<: )

Sounds like your on the right track...nothing wrong with being too picky, just don't judge everyone by appearance...you will be surprised who may walk the same path as you...keep an open mind, guarded heart and continue with your Christian values....good luck.

Same here!!!! I think my standards are too high because guys have asked me out many times but they weren't my type. I'm sure you'll date. No, you're not judgmental it's just you have a certain taste in guys. Don't dwell on it too much!!!

It also depends on your personal value and quality as well. I assume you are still a virgin and have a decent look. If you are and still want to save it for a marriage or Mr: Right, then I guess you have every right to be picky. You are still very young, don't rush into something that you might regret later on in your life. I'm saying because I consider you as my friend, just like my avatar name said "I'm your friend".

No you are not to picky, you should always go for what you want for yourself. And please don't make the mistake to let your guard down. You are absolutely right some guys simply don't seem right. When someone really likes you he will accept you for who you are, respect your wishes, and will wait because he knows it is worth it.

Well remember you must always please urself and not please anyone else you come first im the same exact way and Im 23 yrs old I wont settle for what I dont want God will bring someone who is ideal for you so give it time just think of this time you have free as time for you to find yourself cause you are still very young.... one day the right guy will come along and make you happy youll see
