Outside the class, you ARE just friends. She's in front of everyone and is trying to look cool. She may like you, but not like your public appearance or image. Only you can answer the question, is it a good image?
She doesn't care what the others in the class think of her. She DOES care what the people she respects and is trying to be like thinks of her. She doesn't think you fit into that world.
Want her? Then you have to be somebody in her world, in front of her friends.
Personally, I think you'll be OK in private with her. Just don't expect to go anywhere in public.

Well, she obviously likes you. My guess is that she doesn't want to show it to anyone else, or wants to keep you guessing. I recently asked out a girl that I like, and getting the courage to do so is really hard, so I'm not just going to sit here and tell you to ask her out. What happened to me, I got more courage everyday till it finally came out. The same might happen for you. It is hard until she answers your question. Then you wonder what to say after her answer. If you really like her, then you can ask her out, but don't say it out of the blue. Try to get on that topic. If you don't, she will have her guard down and panick, like the girl I asked out did. You will probably get a lot of answers telling you to ask her out, but they just don't understand the process and how hard it is for you. You can ask her out if you really want, or you can continue being friends. Think what you want more though. Good luck.

Technically all she is doin' is playin' you. All she wants is to have attention from someone. So she thinks that she can get it from a nice guy like you. Then outside of class sh epretends like you guys are only friends. What she is doing is trying to make you think that she likes you more than a friend. Don't let it get to you. All its going to do is hurt you. I should I used to do it. I gave up on it.

Oooooh. Yeah. it somewhat is a no pass plan. till you know she likes you. Write her a lovable, unique valentine asserting you like her, it somewhat is a much extra appropriate plan and much cuter. besdies what ought to be worse than getting rejected for a kiss? no longer plenty.
