YOU CAN DO IT.
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

1. do not be afraid of gaining muscle. It actally makes your body toner, and if your a beanpole, the guys wont like that.
2. Running for about 30 minutes at a time is a good way. The first 20 minutes gets rid of your excess energy, which is why you need those extra 10 minutes. Get some encouraging music on your MP3 player to keep you going!
3. DO NOT SKIP MEALS. This is the most important. Skipping meals messes up your metabolism, and can prevent you from losing weight. Eat Breakfast, and when you feel hungry in school, that means you are burning calories. Burning Calories=Burning Fat.
4. Eat less than 2,000 calories a day. Fruit is a good snack, that is low in calories, and is filling, due to the high water concentration. I suggest strawberries, or oranges. (My personal favorites.)
I have lost 40 pounds in about 5 months using this. It is not much, maybe, but this is an easy diet to follow. It actually helped me get a six pack! lol! GOOD LUCK!!! =D

thank god, a reasonable question. lol most people are like "omg i have to lose 39 pounds in half an hour what do i do???"
yes you can lose the weight. eat healthy, like vegetables, fruit, and food that will keep you full of energy so you can still work out. do not eat just a little. Eat enough, eating little is dangerous and you will be tired. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. and uhh yea good luck

March is National Nutrition month and the theme is 100% fad free - visit their website to get the scoop on what that means! You're 14 and your right, pills aren't the way to go, actually for any age! Give your mom a list of foods such as yogurt, fruits, veggies and ask her to get it for you. It's not so much about the number on the scale, it's about how YOU feel about yourself. Walking is really the best exercise - it tones EVERYWHERE!! Stay free of junk food and pop!!
