Your question intones that science is a belief system; you have to believe in a God, science is just a method of describing the universe around us in measurable and verifiable terms. Science is constantly evolving, building and changing; religion is static, defined for all time by the particular holy script that applies. The only thing that changes in religion is interpretation over time; typically this is a function of changing social norms and evolving scientific facts.

The link that was provided in your question suggests that somehow Biblical script and scientific knowledge are in concert. Since the Bible clearly states that the sun and heavens revolve around the earth and that is clearly not the case it begs the question as to why you would not direct us to a link that science has reversed it's 400 year old assertion that the Bible is completely wrong. The recent development of "institutions" around the country that are attempting to reconcile the scientific ignorance of Biblical writings with current scientific knowledge will only accelerate the destruction of credibility that scripture is precariously perched on.

no, science is the way God regulates the world. In life we learn about the laws of cause and effect! well this is the same in this situation. Science is a set of rules that God has made so that for every cause there is an effect. What God tells us to do is him guiding us around the laws and telling us what the effect of our actions would be. this is for all science (such as psych, astronomy, physics). We trust is God to guide us around the laws....we believe in science as its the aspects we can see. so basically...science is a creation of God.

No. Science involves reason and evidence and a search for knowledge.

"God" is fictitional and the religion based on "God" states that seeking knowledge is the original sin, and insists you believe whatever you are told and don't think about it too much.

The two ideas are polar opposites.

Maybe god put all of these fossils and evidence of monkeys etc, to entertain us and make us question.

I have heard of this, and this doesn't really change my opinion...because I already believed that to start out with.
