Meningitis??? please read?

i was born with Meningitis and since then i have not had it again. i looked up the signs for Meningitis and i had a few of them. 1 of them i know is true because the signs came on very quickly....... earlier this month i had something similar to this and i went to the doctor and they gave me some medicine i i didnt take it because im allergic to it. my doctor said i have a bacteria infection or something like that. i read you can get it from it not been treated. so could i have Meningitis again?

well my doctor is an A**..... he gave me something and gave a sent me on my marry way. he didnt know because he is not my usuall doctor. so you dont know what the situation is

i didnt know about the medicine until i got my prescription filled at walgreens. and got it home

you only would have been given antibiotics for a bacterial infection. Bacterial meningitis is serious and you have to be hospitalized, so if you did have it your doc certainly would not have prescribed you antibiotics and just sent you on your merry way. Also, you must have known you were allergic to the medicine, so why did you let your doc prescribe it. Your question, despite being long does not actually contain much information. If you're worried, go back to your doctor

Meningitis is very very dangerous you need to take this medicine or get one that you are not allergic to. I have seen people die from bacterial meningitis. I have worked in a ER and I am a paramedic. The symptoms are much like the common cold. Headache, stiff neck, fever, and weakness. Please take care of this fast. I don't mean to scare you but I do at the same time. There are about 3 or four different types of meningitis the most fatal is called menegacal meningitis. Sorry about spelling.

Why didn't you tell the doctor that you were not going to take the medicine? The doctor assumes that you are taking it. You should call the doctor asap. Meningitis is serious, can kill you. It is not anything to play with. Call your doctor!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, get yourself to the hospital if you think you have one.


If you were allergic to the medicine, why didnt you tell the doctor. Thats pretty stupid.

If you are worried about getting them in the future, get yourself vaccinated. I think there is vaccine for a couple of them.
