I assume you are trying the watch the videos using Media Player. Then no it won't work. The formating of the videos is all wrong. You need to use this:

VLC Media player:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Download it. It is simple a basic player that is designed to play videos of all formats.

This should work.

If not then be careful of what you are downloading. Limewire is full of Trojans.

Most video files on the internet are encoded and compressed to save space. There are many different ways to encode/compress videos, each of which have their own advantages and disadvantages. In order to view a video, your viewing software needs to know how to decode and uncompress the video file.

Video viewers use things called codecs, which are plugins allowing the viewer to decode another video format. In this case, your video viewer does not have the right codec which was used to create the video. VLC is one such player that has a large variety of codecs already included in the installation. If you like a particular viewer, you can also get more codecs and install them on your computer.

First, pay attention to the filetype.
WMV is your standard Windows Movie Player Video file, and should play.
You'll also find MPG files. These will also play on your WMP, though you may need to download a codec from Microsoft in order to view it correctly.
AVI files will play in WMP - be sure to install the DIVX codec -but because of the file format, they cannot be previewed.
.MP4 and .QT files play in Apple's QuickTime Viewer - get it in a free download from Apple. RM files are RealPlayer files. I'd avoid them, but you can get the player from real.com.

Pay attention to file sizes, too. There's a few common sizes that scream "I'm a Virus!". Just like anything you get from the internet - keep your scanners up to date and run a virus/spyware/malware scan on every file you download.
