Well, take it from someone who thought that friendship was necessary with one's in-laws: IT ISN'T WORTH IT. I would have been much happier if I would have just been polite when we were together and not tried to be friends. After I realized that I was banging my head again a brick wall trying to befriend these people, I stopped and was much happier.

Without knowing the basis of your hatred for them, it's difficult to say much. However, You don't sound particularly likable. I noted that you didn't ask about how to get along with them. Instead you asked how to "FAKE" a friendship. If you truly love your husband, you should make every effort to get along with his sisters/family. There's nothing to be gained by faking. They would only see you as a phony person. If you have a problem with them, then deal with them delicately but honestly. It's much better for you to at least attempt to be civil even if you don't like them.

Why would you want to fake a friendship with them. Is your husband friends with all your family? You can be cordial when their around but you don't have to be friends with them.
