Depending if the grey vinyl siding is "warm" or cold.
If is warm I will select a brown or cream.
If is cold I will use a blue.
Check the local store of Benjamin Moore for color samples.
A good practice is buying a pint of paint to make a proof in the site.
Good luck.

grey is like black or white, in that most colors can go with it, but the brighter the other color, the more dull the grey will look. if you go with some more subtle color hints, with the color actually being a bit greyish, you will have more luck. depending on the tone of grey (light or dark) you can go with different shades of lightly colored stones.

without having seen the siding on your house, but given your description, my guess would be that you would probably have luck with the "dressed fieldstone" the "european castle stone" or even the "split face" but I would definitly stay away from orangy tones like the "drystack ledgestone" or the "country ledgestone". They are too bright, and might make your grey siding look dull by comparison

I would go with stone that has some of the same shade of gray as your existing siding, or else it is going to clash bad;) Just check around for the stones that match the closest and have your gray and maybe darker shades in it also. White trim looks the best with gray in my opinion~that's what we have, and it really looks "classy":)

natural stone colors is always a safe choice with grey siding. otherwise you could throw some "diluted" colors into the mixture...rustic reds, blue/greys, greens... etc etc
