First of all, why should anyone ask somebody else to pray? Why not pray in private? Attention should not be placed on man, but on God only. He'll intervene when He wants to and only then. I never said it was a violation against the rules. I never heard of such a thing. I would think that a real Christian would pray regardless if being asked or not

If you're in a situation that is not public property (i.e. at your workplace) and there is a regulation in place that prohibits religious solicitation, asking people to pray for someone is a violation of the rules.
Remember, freedom of religion means that the _government_ doesn't have the power to limit religious expression in public places or in people's homes. On private property, the property owner/manager can limit such expression as (s)he chooses. The same applies to freedom of speech, btw.

Perhaps it was reported as "chatting, personal communications". Check the Yahoo Terms of Service. I think the rules are contained there.

I don't know the answer to that one.
I have prayed for many who have asked on this site.
Did you get a violation?

Like so much of the rest of this world, I think, Yahoo is foreign owned, and a machine.

It's using God in vanity. The person who is doing the praying is really saying that their power of prayer is better than the power of the other person. In reality, no one has the power over God. God already knows what needs to happen, and will make it happen, or not make it happen depending on what God wants to happen, in the best spiritual interests of the person. No one would chose harm to themselves, so God often has to help in situations which require discomfort.
Ganging up on God, as in group prayer won't work either. God is God, and men are man. We don't tell God what to do, God tells us what to do. (Asking nicely counts as telling God what to do.)
Regards,
Chris
