I want to be in my little girl's life but the woman who said the child is mine is now acting like she wants me to have nothing to do wit the my daughter's life. She told me when I was deployed to Iraq and now since I'm home I feel like we should get the ball rolling to get the DNA test, but she keeps making excuses. I am losing sleep over this.

i am not sure where you are but the DNA test they did for my granddaughter was about $150 in Calif. If you were ordered by the court you better get on it. If the mom is not cooperating go back to the judge and they will order her too otherwise she is in contempt of court and can go to jail. If you haven't gone to court call the county courthouse and ask about mediation. that is where they get both parties together to try to come to an agreement i think they can help you fill out forms for court for custody or visitation it may take a little while to get in. when you get that started the judge will order a DNA test to make sure the baby is yours especially if you ask for 1.

ohh okayy. so this is what you do. go to ur local court room and go to the prosicuting ((i know i didnt spell it right)) office and tell them you want to open a paternity case. obviously this is your child if she told you she was. so they will want you to do the dna test. im not sure how much it is to get the test done but my teacher said it's around $200. after that is done. if she really is your child you guys will start a parenting plan which will be done through the courts. that plan is what will get you the right to see your daughter. either visitation or partial custody. if you do this you'll for sure get visitation. but you may have to pay for an attorney which can cost different amounts of money depending on your attorney. she cant keep that lil girl away from you if you do this.
good luck. that girl needs you in her life.

In texas you can go through the attorney general and file for visitation. a dna test if the child is yours is paid by the state if the child is not yours then you are stuck with the bill about 500

Try this toll free phone #: 1-800-DNA-CENTER. You may not have to dial the "ER" in center, but that number is always on the court tv, divorce shows. That should be the quickest cheapest way to get the information no matter what state you are dialing from.

In Canad it's $250 If your requesting it during a case plus original court fees??? My sister's son's dad just requested this as he is denying he's the father in a support case. Sounds like you must be american or british so no idea over there ....good luck.
