it depends if you have clinical depression or just feeling down...I'm assuming by the way you worded your ques. that your feeling a bit down lately and it isn't serious. Exercise is the best thing to make you feel more energized and good about yourself, exercise has always worked for me (having clinical depression since i was a teen)...also getting enough sleep and eating a balanced diet is important. If you want a real quick fix, have mind blowing sex! Even if you don't feel like having sex at the time, try try try...sex is great mood booster, if you don't have another party who is willing...self-sex is fun too

Some of the better ways to rid yourself of the blahs are:

1) Clean your closet out.
2) Rearrange your wardrobe.
3) Speak with someone who you think doesn't have a care in the world.
4) Pet a dog.
5) Read a book.
6) Dance and laugh at your fool self.
7) Get up off of your butt and go for a walk.
8) Watch a cartoon.
9) Learn something new. Like ice skating.
10) Decorate your house.
11) Bake a cake.

Just do something, other than stare at the wall!

The thing about easing depression is that it depends on the reason people are depressed. The easiest way for you to cure your depression is to go see a therapist where you can explain everything out in fine details so they can give suggestions and exercises for you to do so you can get better with professional help. If you don't want to undergo therapy, (which is suggested to people who are depressed because it is the fastest way to be cured,) asking people on Yahoo! Answers to help you will not work unless you are specific in your problem, as different problems have different solutions that must be given in detail. Could you edit your question to make it more specific?

Listen to music. Call up a friend. Don't think of your problems. I hate getting depressed. I do listen to music. I even take walks. What else can i do as a young teen??? Life is boring.

Depression is not abnormal. It's not something wrong with you. (Unless you reject it.... then it won't go away, and becomes problematic.)

Cheri Huber wrote a good book about depression from a Zen point of view.... I strongly recommend her books.

Do something for someone else. If your mind is focused on helping someone else, then you're not thinking about your own problems. And in return, you'll feel better about yourself.

What I suggest you do is surround yourself with as many positive influences as possible.
