Seriously, leave the door open it'll find it's way "to the light."

Leave the garage door open and close all other doors or openings that could lead to your house and leave! No noise at all it will leave they have very good hearing so if your there they know! Comeback the next day it should be gone!

Get it out of your head? Goodness, I imagine it is uncomfortable having a pigeon in your head. :D Anyway, the pigeon is probably tired and/or disoriented after migration or maybe it belongs to someone and got lost. But I imagine it's the former. I suggest you call the SPCA, they'll come and get it and either find its owner (if it has one) or keep it until it recovers from being disoriented and then release it so it can continue flying back home.

The same sort of thing happened to my friend. She panicked, called me over, and made me try and catch it with my two hands. I ended up opening the window and ushering it toward the window until I scared it enough to leave.

,aybe its tired or injured......just leave some bread and water for it and once its recovered, it'll just fly back out. It's taking cover in ur garage, so kicking it out isnt the kindest thing to do.

Of your head or the garage?

A broom would help in either case.

Just leave your mouth wide open and it will find it's way out eventually.
