Get one of those paddle balls. You know the wooden paddle with a rubber ball attached to a long rubber band to the paddle? Paddling the ball is fun while you walk.
You MIGHT consider getting some roller blades or old fashioned roller skates and skating for exercise instead.
It is a lot more fun and the weight of the skates will burn more calories than just walking. Running into things and especially cute guys would certainly spruce up your day.

You killed my two favorite activies while running.
However, you could take a walking buddy - a friend, significant other, dog. Then you have someone to talk to instead of yourself.
Try taking new routes. Sure its probably your neighborhood or something else you are familiar with, but take different routes to see different things and pass different people. Really observe the world around you.
If you walk on the treadmil, you can read a book or magazine. Also, you could watch TV (what people do in the gym) or your favorite movie.
All my other ideas seem to be "thinking" ones. I would suggest do nothing but relax, clear your head - its your time for you. But since you seem to be getting bored with walking, this may not be helpful
