if i'm doing a 1400 calorie diet and everything says 2000 calories, how do you figure out for a 1400 calorie diet?

The amount of calories from carbs, protein, and fat depend on the percentages of each for your particular diet.

Many people like the 40% C, 40% P, 20% F...it's pretty well balanced.

1400 x .40 = amount of cal from carbs
amt of cal from carbs / 4 = grams of carbs

same for protein

multiply by .20 and divide by 9 for fat

If you want to keep the proportions the same, multiply by 7/10 because 1400 is 70% of 2000.
