While we didn't get married their, we had our wedding in a mansion in Michigan and all our guests raved about it. It made our day very intimate and romantic. It was also nice to have both the ceremony and reception in the same location (very convenient for guests). Since an evening wedding (Friday or Saturday) was a little out of our price range, we rented the mansion on a Saturday from 10 am - 2:00 pm and had a morning ceremony with an afternoon brunch reception. Changing the time saved us over 50% on the rental and catering costs.

I reviewed the Kohl Mansion brochure on their website and it looked beautiul. I think you should definately check it out. Also, found a couple of websites that had a price ranges:

I also found a website of a real wedding held their. It lists all of the vendors, maybe you can contact some of these vendors to see what th eir experience was with the mansion as well: http://www.aboutweddings.com/realweddings/realwed_disp.php?wed_id=14

How old were you when you got married? I was 21 years old when I got married, but we dated for 3 years prior to getting married. I was with him since I was 18. If you married young, do you wish you could have waited a few years? Yes, I do. I feel that if I had waited a few more years to get married to him (we could have dated a while longer) I would have seen who he really was and never gone through with the wedding. Do you regret getting married so young? No, not really. I feel that I learned a good lesson from it and it has made me a better person. Are you still married now? No, I've been divorced since March 2002. Are you sealed to your husband/wife? No. ♥
