1. The world is flat
-I guess genesis just made more sense that way. How else could things possibly fall down!?

Any takers?
2. The earth is the center of the universe
-That would make sense if believing in God made sense. Sadly the sun does not revolve around us and sadly the rest of the universe doesn't either.

3. The flood wiped out humanity
-Unfortunately the chinese empire has no such records of a 4000 b.c. flood wiping out their people. Oh well. If only the Hebrew culture were the oldest...

4. The jews wanted to leave Egypt
-In fact, according to Egyptian and Mediterranean history, the Egyptians NEVER enslaved the Jews. The Egyptians KICKED THEM OUT because they were taking up too many resources. I guess when you write the history books, you don't want your grandchildren to think you got kicked out a country for being parasites.

You'd better take your time with the next 8. Maybe do some research, get your facts straight, you know...just the small things. Your first point about a flat earth theory has absolutely no relevance here. At one point flat earth theory was the majority consensus, not just with Christians, but everyone. And Christians weren't the only ones to fight change. The bible never mentions the earth as flat, and this theory was formed hundreds of years before the bible was written. The same goes for geocentrism. Galileo was Roman Catholic, ok? As for your records of the flood, if anyone in the Chinese Empire had records dating to 4000 b.c., we sure don't have access to them now. I'm guessing you made this one up entirely, which is probably also the case with #4. Speaking of which, your entire reasoning on #4 is faulty. According to Egyptian history? So, you think the Egyptians will have a more objective view of these events than the Israelites? Seriously, work much, much harder on your next 8, or just give up now.

I will respond only to #4:

Near the end of the 19th century a papyrus was found that details the the Plagues of Egypt from the Egyptian point of view. The papyrus is currently in a museum in Holland. It is called the "Ipwer" papyrus

The following is a translation by Gardner (A famous Egyptologist from the 20th century)

....The land turns round like a potter’s wheel...The towns are destroyed. Egypt has become a dry wasteland...All is ruined...Residences are overturned in a minute...There is noise ...Years of noise...Oh that the world would cease from noise...A plague is throughout the land. Blood is everywhere...The river is blood...Men shrink from tasting -- we thirst after water...That is our water. All is ruin...Trees are destroyed...There are no fruits or herbs to eat...Grain has perished on every side...What was here yesterday is now gone...there is hunger...All animals weep. Cattle moan...Each man tries to catch those that have his brand...The land is dark...The children of the princes are dashed against the walls...The children of the princes are cast out into the street...the prisons are ruined...He who places his brother in the ground is everywhere...There is a great cry in Egypt...The graves cast out their dead and lay them on high ground...Men (slaves) rebel against the great seal of Egypt...Gold and jewels are fastened to the necks of slaves (as they flee)...behold a great consuming fire reaches up to the sky.

In addition, in the Red Sea there is a submerged "Land Bridge" that is very shallow, and has a sandy bottom. In thousands of places along this Land Bridge there are coral formations. (Note: Coral does not grow on sand) These formations formed over the chariots and armor of the Pharoah's army. I could go into more detail; email me.

Also we have footage of Mount Sinai, the outline of the Tabernacle, the rock that was split in two to give water, plus much more.

Interesting note There is an ancient story of an Egyptian king named Thom, who chased run away slaves, had a fight with a god and jumped into a whirlpool. One of the treasure Cities that the Israelites built was Pi Thom (City of Thom)

I could go on and on but when the Ipwer Papyrus is dated properly the histories of Israel and Egypt line up in lock step from "Joseph" to the captivity.

After looking at #1 and #2 I must say something. There is much evidence that thebBible indicates that the Earth is an orb. However, those that say that the Bible says that the Earth is flat cite verses that go something like this. "The people came from the four corners of the Earth" Using that reasoning 99% of Americans, (including yourself probably) believe that the world is flat.

#2 I could get into some pretty heavy Physics (That is what my degree is in.), regarding a bounded or unbounded universe. I could also get into the problems of the Doppler Effect on the different models of the cosmos. It can be said that if the universe is bounded, (and there are good assumptions to support that premise), and Einstein's theory of General Relativity is accurate, the observed Doppler Effect that we see would put the earth either at the center or near the center of the universe.

Like most of the questions you have asked at YA, you appear to have found a nice book and internet site for silly questions. Like the one about homeless persons and house arrest. These are all very well-worn and certainly not original.

You have not asked a question above. Instead you are parroting back what you have seen others write and copying the same. Otherwise, had you taken the time to careful research and study the things you are writing, you would know them to be misleading, taken out of context, or just plain untrue.

You seem to be a bright person and it is a shame to watch you waste away what could be productive time actually learning something versus asking vapid questions on YA or making illogical statements.

Really not sure where your motivation is with the questions you have asked, however I think you should use this energy in another way that will help others. If you don't believe what I believe, you should still have respect for my beliefs. I am a Christian and I believe in God and His almighty power. I believe that He is all knowing and present everywhere. I understand that there are people who don't believe what I believe and I respect them as people and it is ok. I do what I believe is right and that is tell everybody that I can, about the goodness of Jesus and His love for us (including you).
I don't think it is necessary to try to break somebody down to build yourself up, because it only makes you look insecure about what you believe. Try to spread more love (I hope you believe in that) and I think you will feel better about yourself.
May God continue to bless you.

1. The Bible never said that the world is flat. Christians were wrong, the Bible was not. We all fall short from the glory of God.

2. That is not the Bible claim either.

3. It could have been a local flood. But I believe the flood happened.

4. I have heard this claim before. It is not an obstacle for me believing God. Because I have a personal relationship with God, and I know that is real. God communicates with me through the Bible and people and circumstances.

You may be right about all of this. However your only question was 'Any takers?' Which doesn't really count. You're just trolling. Please stop and leave the R&S section to people with questions. You can have your beliefs; take them somewhere else.

How am i able to declare to no longer be a factor of this international, whilst i'm employing the political device to regulate others? long tale short, my ideals are equivalent to that of maximum Christians. yet, i think of I spent purely a splash extra time deprogramming from the international than plenty human beings have. there are lots of people who had faith interior the gadget of regulation in this u . s . a . or interior the rustic itself. i can not see the factor of that. there is blood on all of our palms for the reason that we are sinners. Yeah, we Christians declare to stumble on a clean life in Jesus.
