When/if we hang out on thursday, I was thinking about not only impressing her by dressing up in nice clothes not going overboard with like dress pants or anything just a nice shirt and jeans and nice tennis shoes. I was thinking of getting her an energy drink, and maybe making her a cd of her favorite songs, am I going overboard to impress her, I want to show her that I like her but not really more than friends yet. Let me know anymore tips you may have to show her a good time, because most of the time I'm shy, and kind of boring but If and I really hope that she still wants to go, I want to make a lasting impression that she will be like this guy is fun to be around.

You sound like a terrific friend. Just hold it right at the drink at this next meet up. Sure, go ahead and look your best, but just have a good time. Listen well and smile often. Keep it light. If things go well, from your perspective, you might consider the CD for later. Don't make a big deal out of buying the drink; just say, "I've got it this time, etc." You don't have to give her anything to impress her. You seem thoughtful and bright; the offer of your friendship, alone, is a gift she should treasure.

That's a bit much. Be yourself. If you want to make her a CD, maybe you can do it together, like show her some music you are in to and if she likes that, burn it to a CD. If you are just friends, you don't need to be going all out. Just be relaxed and have fun.

for JUST liking her as a friend, you'll be sending the wrong messages. Try hanging out with her on a moderate basis, along with other people. Be yourself and follow your heart and things will fall into place.

Well, before my friend became my bf. He first asked me about my interests, and researched all about it why I like it. I was impressed! and we can talk about it more and both of us can really relate. Then, sometimes he introduces me towards his interests and I found out that we liking same things! and I never get tired of hearing some more.

keep it up! Don't worry, unless she seams annoyed, sometimes we girls get sick to our stomach when guys try TOO hard, but if thats the case, back off, but not too much, buy her stuff, it's okay. I buy my guy friend stuff all the time, candy, soda, little gifts, he always says, "awww! Thanks!" and I can tell if it's too much or not..it's ok. just don't over do it...watch her signs!
