Simple really. It will ensure you pc is up to date with the correct settings, since America moved the clocks three weeks early.

Wow you guys are giving really complex answers to a simple problem.
Double click the clock in the lower right corner, it'll come up with a Date and Time Properties window. On the right side, click the tab called Internet Time. UNCHECK the "Automatically synchronize.." option and click OK. Set it to the correct time and save.

Your clock probably syncs to a time server and your OS probably has the older timezone info (regarding daylight savings changes)
You will need to update you OS (windows update or mac update) so it gets the new timezone info for the daylight savings change this year.

Do you keep getting an error message when you boot your computer telling you about the clock? It might be your cmos battery is dying and you need to have it replaced.

u can check u r sytem startup files. in that u have to change the automatic settings like when system starts it will be reset to a particular point. to avoid that u have to remove that option.
start--> run--> msconfig--> startup menu.

My friend had this problem once as well. I think it turned out to be a problem with the internal battery or something.

Try setting it to the new time, then push SAVE, or APPLY. And then you should restart your computer.
