I lived in an abusive situation for a few years before I got the courage to speak up and ask for help. He had threatened me, controlled me, etc to the point that I didn't really have time to think about things in a logical way - I was too busy thinking about keeping him from getting angry. Eventually you will need to get assistance - why wait? You have a few teen years left to go through and everyone deserves to feel safe. He may be ok when he is not drunk, but since he chooses alcohol, you aren't really left with much of a choice but to ask for help. That would be the wise thing to do.

if you really are serious and not making this up, you need to get out of there and get help. tell a counselor @ school if they r any good or tell someone you trust [a teacher or a friend]
or someone you can stay with
what hes doing is child abuse since you are still not an adult yet. it is against the law && VERY bad!!!
you dont want him to end up going farther than he already has
PLEASE get help!
good luck

Call the police, or better yet Child Protective Services, they are experienced with these cases. Do it, your life might be in danger. CPS in the phone book, usually under county offices.

bad situation, why isn't mom there, I know you said complicated but someone needs to help you, when he gets violent again, dial 911, tell them to tell your stepdad that neighbors heard yelling and called. the damage that situation is causing you mentally is far worse than the beating he is giving you. don't be intimidated by him, when he is drunk, he is 5'1" and weighs 90 lbs. louisville slugger size.
