Don't use Proactive, so many people come on here complaining that it doesn't work !!

Go get yourself some organic apple cider vinegar and put two tablespoons full into a bowl with a teaspoon of baking soda mixing until fizzing stops. Get some cotton balls and apply to your face as you would a moisturiser concentrating on problem areas. Then rinse with warm water and a face cloth. Voila !! The baking soda is a natural abrasive and the apple cider vinegar is a fabulous toner and gives your skin a natural pep. By doing this remedy each morning and night as a cleanser/toner you will notice a huge difference in the health of your skin in a very short time.

Increase the amount of pure filtered water in your diet, remembering that for each caffeinated drink you have during the day you need to make up for the water loss encouraged by the caffeine. You should be drinking at least 8 - 10 glasses 250ml of water per day. So if you drink 3 coffees per day you would have to have an extra 4.5 glasses of water on top of your usual 8 - 10 glasses!! (an extra 1.5 per caffeine drink).

Increase the amount of foods containing Vitamin A in your diet.ie:- fish liver oil, liver, carrots, dark green and yellow vegies, eggs, milk and dairy products, margarine and yellow fruits. The color intensity of a fruit or vegetable is not necessarily a reliable indicator of its beta-carotene (Vit.A) content.

If you are on the pill your need for Vitamin A is decreased. Vitamin A works best with a multivitamin B complex supplement, vitamin D, vitamin E, calcium, phosphorus and zinc. (Zinc is what's needed by the liver to get vitamin A out of its storage deposts. Vitamin also helps vitamin C from oxidizing. Oral forms of vitamin A prescribed for skin problems are potent drugs that can cause birth defects and should not be used by pregnant. Your best bet is to go natural and munch out on carrots and dark green and yellow vegies where you can't go wrong.

Recommended daily intake for Vitamin A is 4,000 IU per day.

Congratulations in advance on your pending nuptials !! Have a great day........... :0)

PEACE

Better see a dermatologist quick. I like to use Aveeno facial wash and neosporin if I have a spot; but that might not work for you. A dermatologist can also do laser treatments and prescribe antibiotics, etc. Watch out for shampoos and conditioners, they will break your skin out. Also some facial lotions will too. I only use Dove soap and Oil of Olay for moisturizing. Anything else breaks me out. Most facial moisturizers break me out. Stick to an old tried and true for you and don't try anything new before your wedding or any new makeup.

Besides washing your face twice daily, (not more, it will cause dryness and flakiness) an astringent helps paired with moisturizer. Always moisturize. I use the proactive astringent. When I use it religiously, its serves me well. I'm sure you know all the text book answers...like don't pick and squeeze and dont touch your face and all that jazz. Since I got a cell phone, I have seemed to develop acne on my cheeks.....don't touch a phone to your face. Tie your hair back when you sleep....its dirty. Wash your pillow case....its dirty. Lessen your hair product, that causes flare ups. Visine works GREAT for a few hours on red spots and blemish's. It shrinks the blood vessels temporarily.

A dab of toothpaste on your spots will help dry them up in no time. My son's doctor told him about this and it works great! Also helps reduce the redness.

Fill a bag up with baking soda and water. Put it over your head and tie it around your neck. After a couple of seconds, acne will be the least of your problems.
