I know that I'm going to heaven. God prepared a way for us to go, through Christ Jesus. I excepted His promise, turned my life over to Him, and now I'm waiting for my time.
He sent out an invitation and I excepted. When this old wore out body of mine calls it quit, two angels will take me up and lead me home. If you go, look me up, I'll be there somewhere.

I know I am going to heaven because the Bible says that if you ask God to forgive you of your sins and if you believe in your heart that Jesus Died on the cross and rose again you will go to heaven! I live my life by the Bible If I sin I ask for forgiveness. If you want bible verses that backup my writings here they are: John 3:16; I John 1:9; Romans 1:4-6 Thanks

According to a survey by Barna Research Group, the majority of Americans believe they are going to heaven. (See the attached link)

Jesus, on the other hand, says "few" are on the way that leads to eternal life, and "many" are on the way to destruction!

Matthew 7:13-14 says, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

FEW believe they are lost, but Jesus said "many" (most) were lost. (Only half of 1% think they will end up in hell.) This being the case, the majority of Americans are deceived! Many think they are saved when in fact they are lost.

We can know we have eternal life!

We can be sure of our salvation: (1 John 5:13)
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. “

We can know our condition, by an examination of “these things… written”(the scriptures).

(1 John 1:7)
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin."

We can know our condition, by knowing where we are walking.

If you walk in the light of the things written in God's word, accept those things, believe them and obey them (Heb. 5:9) then you can be assured of salvation!

If you follow the doctrine (teaching) of men, then you may be led into false hope.
