I "feel" that the U.S. should fix its broken health care systerm. We turned our mental health patients out on the street during the Ronald Reagan era.

I feel like I was once homeless, but I picked myself up, and so can they. Most of them can, anyway.

I feel sad for them. I try to smile at them and give them something if safety is not a concern. I think that could have so easily been me...I know what it is like to be out of your mind and have God rescue you from the darkness..And I pray for them..I can see them everyday out of the office window. They live under the bridge.

Really shoulda gotten that social work degree. I'm too sheltered to know how to help.
But gee, many of them are too far gone to want it anyway.

Sad, I wonder what their stories are. I wonder if there is famiy somewhere that thinks they are dead. Afraid sometimes but always thankful.

We don't have any, they'd freeze to death out there within an hour here in frozen hell.
