It can take a long time, depending on how serious the relationship was and how long it lasted. The longer the relationship and the more serious, the longer she can be expected to take.
If you are sitting around waiting for her to get over her exboyfriend so you can date her, my advice would be to forget it. That's not the kind of guy a girl with any self esteem is after. Be there for her in this difficult time and realize that friendships often blossom into love. Lust just lands you pain and misery.

It depends on a couple different things...how long you were together, how deep the feelings were, and how easily you bounce back from things. You shouldnt try rushing moving on. If you go into another relationship while still in love with ur ex you will bring "baggage" into the relationship and it wouldnt be fair for you or the other person. Good luck though. I think it veries for different people, it might take people days, maybe weeks, or years. It depend on how bad he hurt her or vise versa.

it depends on how long they've been together. And everyone's different. If she's interested in you, she'll let you know when she's ready to start dating, but don't push her.
