If you are at someones home for a large gathering like say a birthday party with a buch of kids and toddlers around and a kid runs or walks past you with the unmistakable odor of loaded britches, do you say something funny or in a joking manner or just keep quiet and let someone else figure it out?

Well, me being me,,,,, I would point out to the parents that little Junior has a load in his knickers.

Now for the next ettiquette on diapers. Moms, do NOT throw your kid's crapped full azz hankie in my toilet, kitchen waste basket, etc. Ask me for a seal type baggie and we will dispose of it after we get the stench contained in plastic.

I think you should definately say something. The kid should not be left in "loaded britches." The sooner the problem is brought to attention the sooner it gets fixed. What if no one said anything? Then the kid would have to stay in that diaper. Its not being rude, its just letting someone know the kids diaper needs to be changed. So i would definately say something.

You should definately say something. if you afraid of offending the parent. Look at it in terms of caring for the child. Lingering 'cargo' can lead to awful rashes. You don't have to speak in front of everyone of that is not your style. My thing is when people change their babies in restaurant booth seating! I mean I've had 3 and there have been emergency situations...but in general..away from food !

Find the parent and say to them: your child's nappy needs changing. Do you need any help with it?
No sane person could take offence if you say it in a friendly manner.

It's very simple. Find the parents and tell them that the child needs to be attended to.
