but more and more i find myself not being able to control my anger or my voice i dont hit them but i scream until my throat hurts i dont want the cycle to continue!!!!!
Any suggestions?

You have already done the biggest thing, and that is making a decison that you do ot want your children to be put through that. Now you need to look in your community to see what kind of help their is for you and your family. Try to remember that they are not doing things to be bad, just it seems like it might be fun.

My issues are similar in the anger dept.,Iam a Vietnam Vet
with severe Post Tramuatic Stress Disorder , now this may not sound true but in 2000 all the yelling , drinking , drugs , and just trying to cope didn't work anymore and I had a bad breakdown. I did 2 things during my rehab. , natuarally I got plenty of medical and mental health help and as my head got clearer I gave my problems (all) to GOD and let JESUS into
my heart and mind giving HIM control, remember-the task
ahead is never as great as the power behind you-OUR LORD

Good that you recognize the problem. You need anger management help for yourself and counselling to include the children. If you find yourself at the breaking point and on the verge of doing it again call someone you trust and ask for their listening ears for a moment until you get past the urge to yell. Get help and good luck.

You are in control of your life. Either you break the cycle or you continue it. The choice is yours. Stop and think how you felt when people did this to you. Do you want your children to endure the same thing? Inflict fear on them and they will learn to be afraid of you, it will show in their eyes.
