I want to change the lights myself without going to a Ford dealership and pay $60. Could you give me step by step process as well as precautions, etc. This would be a great help. Thanks!!!

first find out what lamp is not working then open trunk pull back the carpet on that side either the housing will twist out or sometimes you must unscrew it with a small socket 10 millimeter then pull it out then reverse the process to re-install

You have to go in through the trunk. You have to remove the four screws that hold the assembly in. Then pull the assembly out and unscrew the bad bulb and replace it.
While you do that, or before, check out the sequential turn signals that are available for Mustangs. Do a google search, I put them on my GT convertible. Looks cool. Easy to install.
