I was raised to be a well mannered, polite lady, so naturely I'm the type of person that if someone smiles I smile back. But what do you do with guys who are over persistent? I've tried to be nice. I've said I have a boyfriend (even if I didn't). Then they try that much more. So how do I get rid of them?
Is there a way to turn them down nicely were they wont ask me again?
Or should I be one of those real *itchy girls that guys can't stand?

No matter how well mannered you are; you must know how to protect yourself. You say no...nicely...if he comes back...you say, I know you didn't hear me....and say it again.
if they still come back...you can be assertive, you don't have to be rude, but being assertive is 100% OK. You can't stress over everyone that will ask you to do something you don't want to do...
life will be very hard.

I know I'm not a guy, but I am a nice girl who doesn't like to let people down, and I've had this happen a couple times. If I know them or they are in a group of my friends, I tell them its best if we stay friends, and if they keep pushing I am firm with them. I've had a couple guys start grabbing me, thinking if they did, I was just gonna fall into their arms, and forget the silly non-sense of friendship. I've had to turn into a real ***** and tell them to leave, to get out now, if you can't handle friendship then just go.
But if its some stranger who's hitting on me, I may be polite and talk with them, but if they persist for my phone number and I really don't feel that I want to give it to them. I'd try giving them a fake number or saying I have a boyfriend and then walk away. Sometimes if someone is just not understanding your hint that you don't want to have anything to do with them, you really do have to say "just leave me alone".
First off I don't think your in the wrong if you have to do that. If you've tried being polite, and they still don't get it, be a strong women, and don't except their behavior. Secondly because they are strangers you don't want to be to inviting, because you don't know who your talking to. If they aren't taking no for an answer, be firm and get out of there. It could be that one creep that changes your life forever you know.
Its alright sometimes to be strong and be firm, as a nice girl I don't like to hurt anyones feelings either. But hun, people understand the game, they look at nice girls like you and me and they see an easy target, someone they can walk all over, and talk them into things, because they are to afraid to really stand up and say no. Don't let people do that to you, always remember, they know what they are doing, you should too.

Tell them you like girls. Other than that, guys sometimes are very persistent. Run around with a ring on your finger when you don't feel like being bothered so you can just pretend you are married. Otherwise you have to be firm and say you have a boyfriend and you are not interested in them. Or try to not look so made up or pretty when you are out in public. But I know how you feel, I have guys follow me around a store for 10 minutes trying to talk to me even though I've already told them I was married. It's pretty sick.

Some guys you can easily be polite with and that would be enough. But there are those guys that won't quit, usually they don't have enough of a life to realize its not a big deal to be rejected.
Anyway, my point is, every guy is going to be different, there is no standard, and no "one way" to turn down all guys without coming across as less than lady like. You have to just figure this one out on a case by case basis.

Well, if u want to save your rep, (which i think u do) then just say, "I've already turned you down. And I'm sorry, but im not gonna go out with u. Just face it. If u truley like me, then don't ask again."

I am sorry, but you really dont interest me. Please dont follow me, or call me anymore. I really dont want to be with you.
Honesty is the best solution- he will know that you are unreachable and move on. Dont give him ANY ideas that there may be a chance, because he will search for the opportunity!

if they dont accept no then tell them more forcefully that you are not interested --- i really dont know why guys persist in the face of outright rejection

you don't need to be a Btch to get rid of them.just tell them that they are nice but you've got no interest romantically so its kind of a waist to pursue you

you can wear some stuff(like ring) make them feel you already married, and often make some phone calls in front of them
