If yes, I would like to see what they said about Him. Did that form your thoughts about Jesus and how you relate to Him today?

Tell me your thoughts.

Yes. I am thankful that God has been in my life for so long.
Unfortunately the teachings of the Catholic church are not always biblical. My church is a nondenominational church which consists of 80% of converted catholics who are seeking the truth. I was raised in the catholic church and did all of their rituals and their beliefs but I found out as an adult that they were misinforming the people on the truth and eventually turned many people from God instead of helping them. The Catholic church is a religion. That is why they are a dying breed. I'm not saying that there are no catholic Christians but I do know that there is a huge difference between religion and true Christianity. I have become a Christian and am very thankful that I was shown the difference.

Yes. My mother was a "Christian Martyr" and loved telling stories of how Christians were tortured throughout history. My mom was very fearful and always bracing herself for the next disaster which was always just around the corner. Everything was a "sign of the times", the communists were going to take over by 1970 and the communists tortured christians in prisons by cutting their tongues out or by cutting their arms and legs off and deep frying them in hot oil.

I was raised southern baptist and thought it was silly as a young child. Although I tried hard to please my mother and went to a Southern Baptist College and later to show her how extreme I could be, I became Pentecostal for a while and went to a Pentecostal college, married a preacher and he left me for another woman as several of the other graduates of that college did.

I gave it my best shot but think religion is nuts for the nutty. I don't know ANY and I mean ANY religious people who are emotionally stable. (Some appear to be but their lives are falling apart once you peel back the outside facade. They sure can look good on the outside but their insides are very unstable after you get to really know them.) I will NEVER go to any church again! INSANITY!!!

No parents died real early in my life and everything went down hill after that. I found my love for Jesus at the end of my rope, thousands of miles from anyone that knew me no-one near for help nothing but anger & depression to rule my life and no job nor place to live. I walked into a strange place and was met with handshake/smile then started reading the bible and things slowly began to get better: stopped drinking curseing, fighting, treating women like dirt and developed a far better life. I would not give up these beliefs of mine for anything and recomment " HIGHLY" to anyone smart enough to try!

Nope, whenever I did something wrong, from a very young age I was told that I was going to hell. All of their talk and my parents know little if nothing about Jesus. funny, I had to educate myself about Jesus and God. I am an adult with a great life and they have had not very good lives. I try to live right and they still think I'm going to hell. Go figure.

I think they mentioned it once between their meth sessions.

No, I started studying religion myself at age 11, Jesus, if he ever lived in a religious realm, is dead. There is no historical proof of his miracles, any more than that Harry Potter defeated Lord Voldemort to save all humanity. There is actually hardly evidence that a Jesus existed in a religious sense, and yes, people like Julius Caesar do have plenty of historical evidence from government documents and other documents from the times.

They talked about Jesus, I learned a great deal in Sunday School class, and mostly from reading and studying the scriptures.

Didn't talk to me about Jesus, though I had some school teachers that did.

For some reason my mother started to take us to catholic church for a few months when I was about 8. Never did ask why we started, or why we quit.

Today, she's as much of an atheist as I am.

My Mum did, she was a Seventh Day Adventist. We also had a painting on the wall of Jesus with little children sitting on his knee and on the ground at his feet - it was kinda weird really 'cause the kids were dressed in modern clothes. There was also that painting of Jesus knocking at the door. So if we weren't hearing about him we were seeing his image. At the time I believed all the "Jesus loves the little Children" stuff, but now I am more sceptical about who Jesus actually was - I think he was a radical socialist, bordering on anarchist. He had such a high profile with common, working class man that he was the obvious choice to later be elected son of God.

No my parents didn't talk to me about Jesus. My father was a non-practicing Methodist and my mother a Baptist who went to a church which pretty much exclusively focused on the old testament only - the fire and brimstone kind.

My mother is heavy in the church and she talks about Jesus (PBUH) once in a while only because I'm Muslim and I feel she doesn't want to hear what I think about the differences between our religions, or way of lives.
