PCOS help???.?

hi their.

I have PCOS and just found out last year. My question is is it something a women has all her life or something that comes. The reason i ask is i am trying for a baby and my i am worried as i have heard so many story's about problems getting pregnant. I have been pregnant twice in the passed but aborted both pregnancy's and really would love to have a baby now.

Also does anyone know any vitamins or pills i can take from the pharmacists apart from folic acid that i can take to help me get pregnant quicker.

Thank you for the help

I beleive that there is SOMETIMES a difference between having polycystic ovaries and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Do you def have the syndrome as opposed to the cystic ovaries. because I have polycystic ovaries (the cysts showed up on a scan), excess hair and yet I get pregnant at the drop of a hat! I am pregnant for the 2nd time in 2 years.

My sister, however, has the actual syndrome - irregular, infrequent periods, hair loss, excess body hair and she cannot have children without assistance.

I believe both are something that develop,, i dont think people are born with PC ovaries or PCOS. But I think it is possible to have a genetic predisposition to both.

I dont think there is anything you can buy to help you get pregnant quicker, otherwise many people would be taking it!! You could buy ovulation tests to see when you are ovulating, that will help remove some of the guesswork!

But as far as providing the right bodily conditions for producing a baby, just eat a healthy diet, plenty of fruit and dark leafy veg, iron, protein, calcium (cos growing baby will suck all of that out of ya lol) keep a healthy weight / BMI. Cut out excessive fats and sugars. Take multivitamins while you are trying to get pregnant (but you need to stop once you get pregnant). Take your folic acid.

Hi, I have pcos. To answer your question you have it all your life. if is usually passed down in the female side of your family there has been studies to show that if you have it there is a high chance others do too. back then it was not really known about so they would not have been diagnosed.

I aborted a pregnacy 8 years ago when i was too young. I am married now and going through fertility help. MY best advice is start as soon as possible the younger you are the better also you may be lucky and have no problems at all so dont worry too much if it does take a while ask for help as they can do wonders nowdays.

when it comes to pills and vitamins. the answer is no. ok there is but its a glossy fix. your diet is the main one. it is a proven thing that carbs in pcos can make your body respond badly producing too much insulin. there is a test for this called the ctt carbohyreate tolerence test. a blood fasting test which measures how you r body copes with it. You can just ask for your doctor to do this for you. fewer carbs in your diet help all the symptoms. spots, weight gain, skin taqgs, depression, periods too many or too few or painful. They can help with prescribed drugs like metaformin if found you would benifit from them do it is well worth being tested. Weight is the bigest factor. if you are over weigh and I am try to lose just a little as it will help 100 fold. Vitaline is a diet that helped me it has a website and a message forum to ask these kind of question in so its well worth a look. all people on the forum have PCOS. Plenty of fruit and veg ideally organic our boddies cant do chemicals. low carb. and get vitiman levels and blood tests done. Hope this helps. Maybe speeak to you on the vitaline site sometime. PCOS treatment; is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.

My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
