I have like an ash blond hair color and I want some highlights, not something too extreme though. I was thinking that I should get light light blond highlights almost like a platinum blond color.

go to your hair stylist and ask them to go about 2 or 3 shades lighter and she'll put the color swab next to yours. 2 or 3 isnt so drastic but looks real natural

Light blonde highlights could be nice. I also think that a very light strawberry-blonde would be awesome. It would make your hair shimmer with a small hint of light coppery red color throughout your blonde hair.

Some day, when you're more adventurous, you could have the hairstylist dye your base color to a light brown, and add in honey and copper highlights.

The hairstylist have swatches usually that the can show you in the mirror next to your hair. They are awesome with knowing what'll be perfect.

I'm sure your hair will look postively beautiful whatever you choose.

I have ash blond hair...platinum is too much....it makes the ash look kind of greyish in sunlight. You'll want a more golden highlight.

Put some platinum streaks on top, where they are visible, and under the hair put some black. Colors like blue, purple, red, green etc.. Stay vibrant for about 2 weeks, and by a month they are no longer visible but a natural color streak will stay visible for months. If you want colors, red blue etc.. buy extensions that are colored instead. If your going to get your hair done, take the extensions with you and they will gladly glue or braid them into your hair. :)

Ash blond is pretty light already. Maybe if you went with lowlights instead of highlights.

Hmmmm. I think you should get a really light brown color for highlights.

This is where you can go to the hair dresser and get their opinion, and do it yourself at home. Ask and they will show you a few. Use their resources.
