If you have any negative comments about fasting, I don't want to hear them. Just help me out.

As a nurse, I have to tell you that what you're doing is very foolish. If you're fasting from food, why can't you drink milk, fruit juices, jello. Otherwise, I don't know what you expect anyone to say. There's really nothing you can do to make yourself feel better when you're starving your brain and body of fuel.

Dear Christ:

What I am doing is having water only for 24 hours. I typically start my day with a glass of warm water and a couple of vitamins. During the day I will consume three to four large glasses of ice water and take one more vitamin C. I recently reviewed what is acceptable for fasting and found it to be quite interesting. I obtained my information from my (Catholic) church and found that soft drinks, broth and even a small (snack) meal is acceptable. I personally stay with water and during the evening a glass of juice.

PS. Try not to compromise your health.

Best wishes,

I would drink alot of water and try to sleep most of it. Why 30 hours though? It seems like an odd number.

ok i went 40 something hours once without food...that was like months ago so i really hav no idea how i've ever been able to go long without food since i eat like A LOT but i've been trying this one new thing for me and it seems to work really well. okay wut u do is anytime u want food, get it but don't eat it. just chew it, don't swallow, then spit it into the garbage or something. if u live with parents, don't let them know cuz they might think ur developing an eating disorder or sumthing...well yea um forget that last part...

Drink lots of water.... I understand fasting because I have done it lots of time for church. Just make sure that you don't make yourself sick. You can always eat half a piece of bread if it gets to be too much

honestly nothing really. i fasted for 5 days i was hungry and pissed. trust me u can chew gum but then you'll get bored of it, u can keep drinking liquids but then again how much can u actually drink? u'll get fed up with having to piss all the time. ur best bet is well i dunno why u r fasting for religion or weightloss...but for n e reason ur best bet is to exercise or make ur self extremely busy ....the best solution for me was sleep.....u just have to tolerate it....

Take a couple antacids, like Tums or Rolaids (my fav) or Maalox. At least it will stop the burning. Works for me.

Entertain yourself. Talk with a lot of friends and do work that takes time but is not strenuous.
