There is a verse in the Quran that defines people who are eligible to receive charity money (Zakat). Among them are people who newly embrace Islam. We can not say that that charity money is required to help them live after they have left their properties because if they really left their properties and became poor they would be already eligible under another category (poor people) and no need for a specific category for them.

History tells that prophet Muhammed used to give charity money to tribe leaders to persuade them embracing Islam.

Is that considered as a BRIBE to encourage people to embrace Islam?

where does it say that the prophet gave bribes? He went hungry and used to tie a stone on his stomach to lessen hunger pains. where did he get the money from?

ppl who converted are kept in a special category because their situation is special. they might not have been poor to begin with but lost everything when their conversion caused them to be shunned. back then they would have been kicked out of their homes and had their wealth taken from them. they would have nothing to their names. even now a new convert could decide to leave their home country and move into the arab world to learn more about islam and arabic. they could be poor here.
but this is a temporary condition due to the fact that they converted. perhaps the next year they would have settled down and not need zakah. instead they would be paying zakah.
whereas the poor ppl in their specific category well chances are they might still be poor. or perhaps someone was rich and lost all their wealth all of a sudden, he would then be entitled to zakah that yr. or even the convert of last year well he didn;t make a fortune and now he is considered a poor person.
the categories are there to ensure that everyone got what they deserved. it's all pretty clear and there can be no thought of bribes.

can't you look at islam without the hatred but with an open mind?i mean you don't have to blv or convert or anything. just realise that it's not bad. it's not the brainwashed crap you see on the news.
what's wrong with all of you???

consider in a case where the newly-convert is (lets say) 18-year-old girl, just finish school, didnt have her own income but came from a wealthy family. when she decided to convert to islam, her family was opposed to it. so they told her "if you ... you're not gonna get a penny from us!!" ... but she was determined with her new faith.. so thats when the money is useful.

there's a lot other situation than this and bribery. ty to think about it.

Bribing is better than conversion by the sword...how can we convince Muslims that Jihad should only be done through bribe?

Muslims say that any other Muslim is a fellow brother or sister! Helping them out would be helping out your own brother or sister!
You would help out your brother or sister?! right?
And it is not a bribe.
