you probly could get the best prices when the season is over but most of the stores stock is runnung low and have no plans of restocking until fall.

If by best you mean getting the best price than Spring or summer for good deals on last years models. The drawback to this is that you don't get to demo on snow which is important because sometimes one ski will just feel better to you so if price is your concern you might want to look into late season sales.

Right now or in late August. I have had good luck at both times of the year. Some places hold big sales in August trying to get rid of all the crap from the year before. Don't be affraid to bargin with the ski shop too.

I would suggest end of the season and summer time. Spring time is good cause shops want to make room for the summer stuff. Summer time is the best cause you can get last years model for the cheap cause the new models are coming out in late Summer/ early Fall.
