Let it grow out. When it's long enough to use nail clippers on, cut a small V in the outside edge. This should prevent its ingrowing..

have you tried packing it with cotton? Take a Q-Tip and pull off a little strand of the cotton and force it under the toe nail where it is growing into the skin before you go to bed at night (might be a little painful but nothing unbearable) For the cotton under the nail so it will be raised above the skin. This will cause it to begin to grow over the skin. I did this for about a week and it helped really well. Then when it gets long enough to trim, cut your toenail in a strait line across the top. Hope this works.

What I think you need to do is not let it get ingrown. My treatment for a toenail that is beginning to ingrow is to use a thin dull cuticle tool (like source) to gently get under the corner. I then take a small amount of cotton and roll it into a tiny rope, dip it in hydrogen peroxide and ease it under the corner to lift the corner. This shapes the nail, kills infection, and toughens/heals the skin underneath. Has to be done constantly.
