I know this is stupid, but I had Pre-eclampsia when I was pregnant, and that has to do with liver enxymes. Well, when I drink my chest hurts, and I have all the systems of this HCV. Is this common? Are they linked? I am really scared and dont know where to begin. My husband thinks I am over reacting but I have had all the symptoms for years and am being treated for them, so it is not like I just saw them and said yep that is me... I really am confused. When I was in the hospital the doctor gave me a hep shot, I dont know why exactly all I know is that I tested for low immunity to one... Please help, I have been stressing all day...

No, having pre-eclampsia does not mean you have HCV! Many, many women (I was one) have had pre-eclampsia and have never had or been exposed to HCV. The actual cause of pre-eclampsia is not known but is the result of albumin in the urine and high blood pressure that occurs during pregnancy. Please note: cause of pre-eclampsia is unknown.

Please don't worry! Pre-eclampsia is also usually a one time thing in pregnancy...unless you have had a different partner for each pregnancy. If you have not changed partners, another pregnancy being at risk of developing pre-eclampsia is slim.
