Most of the books "left out" were written hundreds of years after the fact, and weren't first, or even second person knowledge, such as the gnostic books. The Book of Enoch, as far as I'm concerned, since it was written before the New Testament, should have been included, but I think the people of that time were a bit frightened of all the angel information in there. They would have left Revelation out if it didn't have that threat in the last paragraph about leaving it out.

So what's your problem anyway? Is someone physically forcing you to read the bible? If you don't believe, don't read it. Why come here just to diss it? Are you really that bored and empty? I'm sorry for you, but that doesn't mean I have to put up with rudeness.

Not offensive to non-religious people? Big "duh" here. Obviously, you weren't trying to offend non-religious people, you're trying to offend religious people. This is why they should have an athiest forum, so you guys could all get together and diss religion without any slack and we wouldn't have to put up with the constant rudeness. Now wouldn't that be great? You guys could unsult us all you want and we wouldn't even see it unless we were stupid enough to want to go into the atheist area, which I certainly wouldn't. If you guys that do nothing but insult christianity all disappeared from YA religious/spiritual section, (when you don't believe in religion or think you have spirits anyway), it would cut down on all the trollish questions and we could then be able to find legitimate religious and/or spiritual questions. Everyone would be happy.

Well, Because many other religious books written during Old and New Testament times are self-contradicting at times and were definitely not inspired by God.

Any new revelation or addition to God's word is not of God, because the last book of the Bible forbids any additions to itself. mention in Rev. 22:18

The Bible was once the true word of God, and before that the Torah was the word of God. The Bible has been rewritten many times, but the Koran has not been rewritten once, and finally the Koran is the true word of God. The Koran provides agreements of both the Torah and te Bible. Peace be with you.

The Bible was compiled of books that could be authenticated, some possible books written at the time of other Bible writings were not included as the Cannon could not authenticate them as legitimate writings. God had the power to guide men to include what He chose to be included.

So many books were out because they were not reliable or they did not make the time line. Jesus confirmed the Old Testament and He promised the New Testament. I am confident that the Bible is inspired Word of God.

There are many good reasons why some of the books were left out.

The English version isn't a direct translation either. The English is translated from the Latin version which is acknowledged as not translated very accurately from the original Hebrew. the bible was translated into Latin around 400 C.E. (common era) when most of Rome converted.

Your point is well taken, but the better point is that it has so many errors: there are hundreds.
