I have had hip pain for over a year now and it has recently become much more severe. My Dr. ordered an MRI and called to tell me that it shows no reason for my pain. I am frustrated, as I thought the MRI would tell us how to make it better. I am young and should not be in this much pain, but here I am.

Does anyone know what this could be?

My Mother had a degenerative, heredity hip problem. It skips a generation which means your mom would not have a problem. But it may be tied to your grandmother on either side of the family. It started out as discomfort and pain after she had her first child. My neice is affected by this also. But only after her first child was born.
