No there's nothing wrong with you its natural to feel guilty over getting someone in trouble but you did the right thing selling pot could have gotten him in to much more trouble latter on in life...as far as your lying problem have you ever heard of a pathological liar? well its someone you lies frequently and even though they wish to stop they find themselves lying over the smallest things maybe you should talk to someone close to you or maybe go to a therapist and talk to them about what you should do....but it was a very responsible thing to do when you called the tips hot-line ... i hope that helped a little bit :)

You are backwards! (lol) you feel guilty about doing the "right" thing, and no guilt for doing the "wrong" thing. You should feel guilt when you lie. Guilt was given us for a reason, it's a motivator to do the "right" thing, and a warning when we've done something wrong. You may have grown up with liars, and you caught them in lying. Or you may not see where it is wrong. Put your self in someones shoes that has been lied to. Do you like to be lied to? What does it make you feel like when you've found out that someone told you a lie, whether it is a big lie or a little white lie? Look at the example of Jesus, he said "satan is the Father of the lie." And the 10 commandments, one is "thou shall not lie." and the Golden Rule is : "Do unto others as you want done to you." If this doesn't help, then see a counselor.

There is nothing wrong with your mental health, only a doctor could tell you. Sounds to me like a lack of good judgment and character. You have already decided what is OK to do and whats not. Do you think you can make better choices and be a better communicator and start to be more honest?

What's done is done. Spend some serious time thinking about how to improve some of your behavior. Perhaps the lying gets you attention but doesn't hurt anyone.
