I recently went to a fancy resturaunt and seen a bottle of Dom Perignon for $300.00
and a brand of "Brandy" that went for $100.00 a shot!

It goes A LOT higher then that. Some extremely old rare wines can go for hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction. There are many who see it more as an investment then something they plan on drinking.

the most expensive alcoholic beverage would be the cognac Remy Martin Louis XIII. Aged for 50 years, it would cost more than $200 a glass if you order it in a restaurent. For a 750ml bottle it cost around $1,600.00 and don't forget the tax on top of that!

Not close. I live in the boonies in Mississippi, and even we have a local eatery with a premier cru Bordeau at $1500.
