Introduce yourself, so they don't think they're buying from a stranger. Say "Hi I'm (your name) and my school/church/organization is doing a fundraiser for (whatever the reason/need). Would you like to buy some chocolate?"
Or something like that.

Use something like this:
Hello (Sir or Madam), my name is (Name) and I am selling chocolate for a fundraiser to raise money for (Name of cause or school). I was wondering if you would like to look at this catalog and buy some chocolates.
That usually works. Just be polite, smile, and seem relaxed.

Just knock on the door/ring the door bell and say like, "Hi, i'm selling chocolates for ...(school, girlscouts, etc)... its for ...(state the cause if there is one[cancer patients, war veterans, etc.])... would you like to buy any." Then state what you are selling and how much each item costs like, "we have almonds for 2 dollars each, caramel, almond, and crispy bars for 1 dollar each." Remember to be polite, smile if you want, and always say "thank you" even if they don't want to buy any.
Good luck!!

The best thing to do is to find a really cute kid to run around the neighborhood selling them. If they say something dumb, it's not a big deal, and best of all, it's not you. If it means enough to you, pay 'em like 5 cents for every dollar they bring in. I did this once with selling subs. sold 47 in an hour.

Hi, my/our name(s) are __________ and __________. We are working on raising money for _________________, and wanted to know if you would be interested in helping us out by purchasing some of these fine chocolates.
If they say no, say thank you for your time.
If they say yes, after they purchase, thank them and tell them you appreciate their help. If it isn't for school, but for something else like a charity, you may want to print business card sized cards that say Thank You for Helping us Raise Money For ___________. Your purchase is greatly appreciated. Thank You, _________&___________
Dont use your last name.
