I want to gain weight, so I have to resort to eating PowerBar: Proteinplus. I was wondering whether those bars are good for my health or not?

If they aren't healthy, can you please recommend me some protein bars/shakes that are more healthy?

Thanks.

ok im pretty familar with this stuff being into the gym and all when you say you want to put on weight do you mean muscle or i have 2 make wieght for football i need 2 gain. Well honestly a power bar is like 10 grams of protein and is not the best of tasting if your looking 2 bulk up in muslce i suggest a bar atleast 20 grams i take either pure protein bars or promax bars. i suggest alot of chicken fish steak and shakes

Yes they are, i have been using them for a while. If your looking for less sugar, just get the reduced sugar kind. They have maybe 1g less of protein. If your looking to get big and this is your protein source, i would advise looking into some protein shakes.

How much sugar is in it? Most of those awful thngs are loaded with sugar. They taste like hoooookey. Have a small handful of nuts and some dried fruit. Better for you.

Look at the ingredients - one of the first ingredients is CORN SYRUP - probably one of the worst things you could put in your body!! Yes, it does have a lot of added vitamins, but you could also get that from an actual vitamin. I eat protein bars from BioGenesis - yummy and no crappy ingredients - also wheat/gluten/dairy soy free!!!

if you want to gain weight, workout more.
muscle weights more than fat
as a result of working out, eat high carbs or proteins
fruits and veggies are good too
